How to get dark mode on snapchat without app appearance?

The ability to change the app’s appearance is really important for those who don’t want an app that looks like a child’s toy. If you’re looking for a way to get dark mode on Snapchat without changing your device settings or installing third-party apps, this post will help.

How to get dark mode on Snapchat without app appearance?

Follow the steps below, and you can get dark mode on Snapchat without downloading any third-party apps. I know that the steps are extremely easy to follow, but be sure to follow them exactly as written to avoid having problems with getting a dark theme on your device.

How to get dark mode on snapchat without app appearance

Go to your settings menu

From General, swipe to the left. You should now be in the Accessibility menu. Scroll down until you see the option labeled “Vision” near the bottom of your screen (see photo). Select this menu and then choose “Display Accommodations” towards the top right corner.

You should see a menu with options, which initially should be “Color Filters” selected. If you see this, skip to the next step (if not, repeat steps 1 and 2).

Here is where you will select the color filters on Snapchat. Choose “Color Tint.” It will ask you which type of filter—select “More Options.”

Scroll down and click on “Manage Apps”

It will bring up a list of all the apps you have on your device. Scroll down and select Snapchat, then choose “Display in Color” (again, see photo)—this should ensure that Snapchat takes advantage of color filters for any brightness options you enable.

If you’d like to make sure Snapchat uses the color filter, you can open the app to snap a photo. If it is, you’ll see the switch in your display settings labeled “Color Filters ON.”

Find Snapchat, tap it, then go to Advanced Settings

This will take you to Snapchat’s main settings menu. Look for the line labeled “Manage” (see photo). Tap it, and you’ll be taken to a list of apps associated with your Snapchat account. Scroll until you find “Color Filters,” which probably says OFF at this point. Whatever it says, select it, then tap the switch to turn it ON.

Turn off the toggle next to “Snapchat app appearance”

If you’ve made it this far, you’re all set! You can now close Settings and take a photo or video in Snapchat—it should be using color filters as long as the switch is enabled. If it isn’t, turn off your phone’s brightness and see if that makes a difference.

Reboot your phone or open up Snapchat again for dark mode! You can also change the background color of your snaps by going into settings and changing the background color there too!
