The charging port is one of the most important components on an Android phone. That’s where you plug your charger into. If there are any lint or dust particles, it can cause big trouble for your device because it will obstruct charging or discharging process.

1. Find a toothpick, straightened paper clip, needle, or something similar to poke out lint stuck inside this port. Be very gentle when you are poking it because if you damage your charging port, your phone can no longer be charged!

2. If the charging port is clogged with lint and other debris that cannot be removed by a toothpick, you may use isopropyl alcohol to remove them. You can soak a cotton bud or q-tip with this liquid and carefully wipe the insides of your phone charging port.

3. Once all the lint has been removed from the port, it’s time to dry out your device. For this, you can use a hairdryer. This will also take care of the water in the port if your device experienced any liquid damage in the past. DO NOT hold it too close to your device or keep it running for more than 10 seconds.

4. Your charging port should be clean and dry by now. If there is any stubborn lint stuck inside the port, you can use a needle to remove them. Just be very careful not to damage your device’s charging port!

Clean charging port with alcohol

Steps to clean charging port with Alcohol:

1. Put some amount of alcohol in a dropper or bottle that you can use to squirt the liquid into your phone’s charging port.

2. Suck up some of the fluid inside the dropper, and drop it directly onto the charging port.

3. Keep the device in an upright position so that the fluid does not leak out of the port.

4. Leave it for around 10 minutes so that the liquid can dissolve any dirt or lint inside the port. Make sure your phone is not plugged into a power source during this time!

5. Use a small, thin brush to remove the dissolved lint from your phone’s charging port.

6. If there are any stains inside the port that won’t come off with a brush, you can use a cotton swab dipped in some alcohol to wipe it clean.

7. Use compressed air or cotton swabs to dry up excess fluid stuck in the port.

8. Clean the exterior of your device with a wet cloth prior to plugging it in to charge.

Clean charging port with sanitizer

1. Soak a cotton bud in a high percentage alcohol, and carefully insert it into the USB outlet of your device. Be very gentle when inserting this bud because you don’t want to damage anything inside.

2. You should see dirt stuck inside the port after removing the bud from your device. Use a thin brush to remove the dirt.

3. Once your charging port is clean, it’s time to dry it up. You can use compressed air or cotton swabs for this purpose. Compressed air will also take care of any residual liquid inside the USB outlet too!

4. Plug in your device and see if it is charging now.

5. If there are any stains left in the port, you can use a cotton swab to remove them after using compressed air to clear out excess liquid or debris.

Using “Q-tips”

1. Clean off your device’s exterior with a wet cloth before attempting to clean the charging port. Use the cloth to wipe away any dirt on the exterior of your device.

2. Prepare a cotton swab and dip one end in isopropyl alcohol.

3. Carefully insert this soaked end into your Android’s charging port, and make small “circles” with it inside the port. Be gentle when you are doing this to avoid damaging anything inside.

4. Once all the dirt has been removed from the port, run the other end of the swab over it to dry up excess fluid or lint.

5. If there are any stains left in the port, you can use cotton swabs to remove them after using compressed air to clear out excess liquid or debris.

Always turn off your Android phone before attempting to clean the charging port with either compressed air, cotton swabs, alcohol or isopropyl alcohol! This will help prevent any damage that might occur to the components inside your device’s USB outlet! Be gentle when inserting anything into your Android’s charging port because you don’t want to damage it! Never use a brush with metal bristles on your device’s charging port because this can scratch the port.
