The founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates; Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg; the creator of Amazon, Jeff Bezos and 25 entrepreneurs are part of the association Breakthrough Energy Coalition, a project to encourage the creation of energy from renewable resources that do not pollute the planet.

As part of the opening day of the Climate Summit (cop21) that is being developed in Paris, the founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, announced the creation of a platform for financing development projects of clean energy, where energy can be created through renewable resources that do not pollute the planet. Well According to Gates, renewable energies such as the wind and solar, ” have made much progress and could be a way to the zero-emission energy future carbon dioxide or “. But as recognized mogul, the challenge is great and “we need to explore many different ways, which means we also have to invent new approaches.”

Thus, in order to support projects that are committed to energy alternatives that do not pollute the planet, it has created the platform  Breakthrough Energy Coalition  (“Coalition for the Advancement Energy”), an association that seeks to develop clean energy throughout the world and consists of 28 investors from ten countries private. Within this group they are also Bill Gates; Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg; the creator of Amazon, Jeff Bezos; Alibaba Chairman Jack Ma; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Empire.

The coalition aims to stop the advance of traditional and polluting sources of energy and help the energy needs of developing countries. For this, it will be invested in research projects seeking a healthy and sustainable alternative to the plan; something that is completely possible for Gates.

“I am optimistic that we can invent the tools we need to generate clean, affordable and reliable energy that help the poor improve their lives and also to stop climate change, “said the founder of Microsoft.

For his part, the creator of Facebook said that it is essential to solve the problem of pollution through the use of clean energy; otherwise we will find it more difficult to look for progress in the educational field or connection because without energy secure a healthy planet and the challenges will become unreachable.

“Solving the problem of clean energy is an essential part of building a better world. We will not be able to make significant progress on other challenges – such as education or the connection of the world – without secure energy and a stable climate. However, progress towards a sustainable energy system is too slow, and the current system does not encourage the kind of innovation that makes us get there faster. Breakthrough Energy Coalition invests in ideas that have the potential to transform the way we all produce and consume energy, “he said in his Facebook post.

It should be noted Breakthrough Energy Coalition is not a closed circle, any company that wants to support with their money can integrate the group.

“As leaders prepare for the Conference on Climate Change UN: in Paris this week, we hope this will encourage more partners to make innovation a priority in the fight against climate change “; Zuckerberg said.
